SonWeave AI Notes is a private recording and transcription app for audio and video you create or choose to import. This page explains common setup steps and how to contact support.

When contacting support, please include your device model, iOS or iPadOS version, SonWeave AI Notes version, whether you are using the App Store or TestFlight version, and the steps that led to the issue. Screenshots are helpful when the issue is visual.
Recording and Permissions
SonWeave AI Notes needs microphone and speech recognition access to record and transcribe your voice. If recording is unavailable, open the Settings app on your device, select SonWeave AI Notes, and check that both permissions are enabled.
For best results, choose the correct language before recording, keep the device near the speaker, and reduce background noise where possible.
Importing Audio and Video
You can import audio or video from Files, shared attachments, or the share sheet, and select videos from your photo library. Common supported types include MP3, M4A, WAV, MP4, and QuickTime movies.
If an import fails, check that the file contains a readable audio track, is not DRM-protected, is still available at the selected location, and that your device has enough free storage.
Transcription and Local Models
SonWeave AI Notes offers local transcription options whose availability can depend on your device, system version, selected language, and downloaded Apple or compatibility models. The first use of a model may require a download and additional free storage.
If transcription does not start, keep SonWeave AI Notes open on a stable connection while required models download, verify the selected language, and try the compatibility transcription option in the recording settings.
Summaries, Cleanup, and External AI
Supported devices can create summaries, key points, chapters, study questions, and transcript cleanup with on-device Apple intelligence or optional local models. Availability and output quality vary by device, language, model, and transcript length.
The optional Open in AI action prepares a prompt for a provider you select. Review the prompt before sharing it. Content shared with an external provider is processed under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
iCloud Sync and Storage
SonWeave AI Notes stores notes locally by default. You can optionally enable iCloud Sync to sync notes and retained media through your private Apple iCloud account.
If sync is unavailable, check that you are signed in to iCloud, iCloud Drive is enabled, and your devices use the same Apple ID. Changes to the storage mode require restarting SonWeave AI Notes.
Exporting and Sharing
Finished transcripts can be reviewed, searched, organized into folders, and exported in formats including PDF, TXT, Markdown, Word, SRT, and VTT. If an export fails, make sure the transcript is complete and your device has enough temporary storage.
Privacy
SonWeave AI Notes does not require an account and does not operate its own transcription server. Your notes stay on your device unless you enable iCloud Sync or deliberately share content with another app or service. For details, read the Privacy Policy.
