Privacy Policy
SonWeave AI Notes ("the App") is developed by Silestis Labs UG (haftungsbeschränkt). We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how the App handles your data.
1. Data Collection
Through the App, we do not collect, store, transmit to our own servers, sell, or use personal data for advertising or tracking. The App does not have user accounts, registration, analytics, advertising, or backend services operated by us.
We do not know who installs or uses the App and cannot identify individual users through their use of the App. We receive personal data only if you voluntarily contact us or when technical access data is processed in connection with this website as described in Section 8.
2. On-Device Storage
Your recordings, imported media, transcripts, summaries, notes, folders, bookmarks, preferences, and related content are processed and stored locally on your device by default. We have no access to this data.
You control this content and can edit, export, or delete it within the App. Removing the App deletes its locally stored content in accordance with iOS or iPadOS behavior. Content stored in iCloud is managed separately through your iCloud account.
3. Microphone, Speech Recognition, and Photo Library
The App requests microphone access to record audio and speech recognition access to create transcripts. It requests photo library access only when you choose a video to import. SonWeave AI Notes is designed to process recordings and imported media locally using on-device Apple speech technologies or optional local models.
Permission choices are controlled in iOS or iPadOS Settings. The App does not use the microphone, speech recognition, or photo library for advertising, tracking, or unrelated purposes. We do not receive or have access to your recordings, imported media, or transcripts.
4. iCloud Sync
If you enable iCloud Sync, the App uses Apple's CloudKit to sync notes, folders, transcripts, and retained media through your private iCloud account. This data is governed by your agreement with Apple and Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to your private iCloud data.
5. Local AI and Model Downloads
Optional local AI features can generate summaries, key points, chapters, study questions, transcript cleanup, and other results on your device. Your recordings, transcripts, notes, and AI results are not sent to us or to a third-party AI service for these local features.
If you choose to download an optional model, your device connects to Apple or the relevant model host to retrieve the model file. The host may receive standard technical connection data, such as your IP address, to deliver and secure the download. Recordings, transcripts, and notes are not included in the download request.
6. External AI and Sharing
If you deliberately use Open in AI, export, or the system share sheet, the App prepares content for the app or service you select. The transfer occurs only at your request. The selected recipient processes that content under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive a copy.
7. Apple Services
The App uses Apple services and system frameworks that may include Apple Speech, CloudKit, Foundation Models, Photos, Shortcuts, Spotlight, App Intents, and system sharing. These services are used only to provide the features you choose. No advertising or analytics SDKs are used.
8. Support and Website
If you contact us, we process only the information you voluntarily provide, such as your email address, message, device and App version, and any attachments, in order to respond. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns the App contract and otherwise Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, based on our legitimate interest in providing support. This information is deleted when it is no longer needed for the request, unless legal obligations or legal claims require longer retention.
When this website is accessed, our hosting provider may process technical access data, such as your IP address, access time, requested page, browser information, and error data, in order to deliver the website securely and reliably. This is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR and our legitimate interest in operating a secure website. Technical logs are deleted when they are no longer required for operation or security, unless longer retention is required by law. This website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, or tracking technologies.
9. Your Rights (GDPR)
Where we process personal data about you, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at privacy (at) silestis.com.
Because we do not receive or control your App content, we cannot access, correct, or delete it for you. You can manage it directly on your device and, if enabled, through your private iCloud account.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
